Accessibility statement
Where Cavum stands on accessibility, what already works, and what does not yet.
What we aim for
We build Cavum aiming at WCAG 2.2 level AA. No independent audit has been carried out yet, so we claim no formal conformance. This statement describes the situation as we know it.
What is already in place
- Semantic structure with real headings, lists and landmarks, so a screen reader follows the outline.
- A visible focus ring on every link, button and option, and full keyboard operation.
- Colour contrast checked across the palette's text pairings; colour is never the only carrier of meaning.
- Every page, book and practice question exists in Dutch and English, with the language choice at the top.
What is not good enough yet
- No audit by an external party yet, and no user testing with people who use assistive technology.
- Not every illustration and animation in the books has a full text alternative yet.
- The watermark on book pages can slightly reduce the contrast of the text beneath it.
